On September 25, 2024, the online presentation of the Potato2Up project took place at the international Retaste 2024 conference: RETHINK FOOD Resources, Losses, and Waste, which was held in Archanes, Heraklion, Crete, and focused on food management and waste reduction. During the presentation, the critical importance of remote sensing for crop monitoring was highlighted, emphasizing the advantages of satellite-based remote mapping.
Through this technology, the early detection of issues in crops, such as diseases or nutrient deficiencies, is facilitated, as well as the optimization of their management. The Potato2Up project focuses on using these innovative technologies to improve the productivity and sustainability of production, contributing to the economic and environmental development of the agricultural sector.
